Single storey extension – making full use of natural light
Our clients envisioned a single storey extension across the back of the house, extending the present kitchen and leaving part open for a covered veranda. The kitchen and living room would have easy access to the veranda.
A perfect match was achieved for the existing bricks and the oak veranda was fabricated in our work shop.
The 3 metre long letterbox window proved to be a challenge as it was half in the extension and half in the present house but worked really well with light pouring in the whole length of the island in the kitchen.
